Shattered Grid

I am loving the comics so far. They offer a more serious and gritty look on the Power Rangers. The comics have done well to establish the rangers, villains and flesh out the side characters as well.

The Shattered Grid will feature Lord Drakkon who is an evil version of Tommy Oliver. Drakkon will attack the Morphing Grid which will affect the timeline of universe. I love the fact that Boom is doing this. The TV shows have gotten bland and repetitive. The comics are aimed at the older fans of the series.

I believe that Promethea will betray the rangers at some point. They are shady in how they operate and are not being honest with the rangers. Why would they keep Drakkon and not inform the rangers? What are their motives? These are some of the questions that will be answered in the series.

The potential team up with different rangers is mouthwatering. Think of the possibility of seeing MMPR with Dino Thunder, Samurai and Ninja Steel.

I want to see the Mecha Zord in action. We only got a snippet in the last couple of issues. The zord has potential to be a fan favourite. It looks mean as well.  Hopefully we get a legacy figure down the line.

I am excited for this hope you will get the comics too!

The Round-up

With the hype of Beast Morphers, Hasbro has been teasing us with little morsels of ranger goodness. With the announcement of the new game Battle For The Grid and the new toys, there is plenty that us the community has to be excited about. The toys that were shown at the toy fair were great and shows how much Hasbro is taking this seriously. Bandai dropped the ball during the last couple of months but overall I enjoyed the toys they gave us. I will include the pictures at the end of this. We are back!!!!

After nearly an eternity we are back. We will be returning to our normal schedule beginning from next week and all the promised shows, blogs and podcast are coming back to the network. Issue 26 MMPR

The Boom Studio comics have been a revelation for PR fans. There is so much hype and anticipation towards the Shattered Grid and it has delivered. The writers have done an excellent job of slowly introducing characters and fleshing them out. The comic begins with the rangers trying to deal with the death of Tommy. Jason for the first time seems rattled by this. I can feel his pain, losing a friend is never an easy thing to do. The other rangers are trying to move on but the constant reminders are taking a toll on them.  Lord Drakkon returns home to regroup before attacking again. the target seems to be the Samurai Rangers. Drakkon meets up with Finster 5 and the two embrace which was a shock to me. This Tommy did not seem to like anyone and this shows he has a human heart.
